10/28/17 Week 7
This week I finished the book Mastery. It's an excellent resource for learning about mastering our thoughts and actions. It helps in all aspects of life, not only business.
Mastery, George Leonard
"The human individual is equipped to learn and go on learning prodigiously from birth to death, and this is precisely what sets him or her apart from all other known forms of life."
"the mastery of skills that are not genetically programmed is the most characteristically human of all activities."
"How to begin the journey? You need only to take the first step. When? There's always now."
I also enjoyed reviewing the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Here's the link for future reference.

The talk by President Hinckley impressed me so much I shared it with a friend. I want to save it for future reference. *It is important that we remember and live by the 13th article of faith. We must always stand true and faithful.

Again I was reminded of the need to go into business doing something you're passionate about rather than something that makes money. If you have the wrong priorities it will be much easier to encounter burn out. It's so much easier to stick with something through the hard times when you are passionate about it.
